About Play Paws Record

Owner, Stephanie A. L. Reed has over 20 years experience working in the photography and videography industry and a lifetime of experience with owning, caring for, showing and loving all types of animals. Play Paws Record Video and Photo is the culmination of her lifetime passions for these two things. 

Stephanie received a BFA from Ithaca College in photography, film and visual arts. She spent many years freelancing as a photographer shooting special events, including weddings, anniversaries, sporting events and birthdays. During that same time period Stephanie also frequently worked on film sets as a camera assistant and held other various camera department related roles. She was employed for over 12 years at a company that is the film industry’s leading designer and manufacturer of high-precision camera systems. Including both film and digital cameras, lenses and accessories. The time she has spent working there combined with her freelancing experience and education has given Stephanie an exceptionally well rounded knowledge, understanding of and passion for all things camera. 

Stephanie has always loved all types of animals. She was an avid member of 4-H for 10 years, where she learned how to properly care for, show, breed, and appreciate many different types of animals. She grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, sheep, and goats. Animals have always been an important part of her life and she understands and appreciates the special bond that can exist between a person and an animal, particularly a dog. Currently Stephanie and her husband enjoy training and competing with their young French Brittany, Nero in scent work, barn hunt, agility, trailing & locating, conformation and other animal sporting events. 

At Play Paws Record Video and Photo we know dogs are more than just pets to many people. They are members of the family and our fur babies, and we understand the importance of capturing the special moments we share with our dogs while competing and practicing for various animal sporting events. Stephanie together with her team of videographers and photographers are confident that we will capture these precious moments and help preserve those memories for a lifetime to come. 

This is a special video created for Scent Work and Barn Hunt trials that show you where the hides/rats were for each search area. It is a short 5-10 second clip that will be placed at the beginning of your ordered video. It's a great way to remind yourself of the placement of the hides/rats and get a better idea of the various elements and the scope of the search area before watching your dog run. It's an excellent learning tool. Now you can watch your dog run a course and know exactly when they are in odor and see how they react!

We also offer fun add ons for your event, like the Photo Booth branded with your club and trials’ information for exhibitors to pose for photos with their dogs and ribbons to commemorate their experience. One quick picture in our photo booth and they receive a souvenir photo via email within moments.
